Q1. What type of shoes do STRUTS work with?
A. STRUTS are designed to work with men's dress shoes. They will be effective at preventing creasing and maintaining shape in most non-athletic types of shoes with or without laces such as oxfords, wingtips, loafers etc...
Q2. Do STRUTS only work in new shoes?
A. STRUTS work best when inserted in brand new shoes before the first wear since they are still in pristine crease-free condition. Creases in your shoes once formed can never be fully removed. However, STRUTS can to some extent help straighten and smooth out already formed creases and more importantly can help prevent further creasing and deformation in shoes you have already worn.
Q3. Are STRUTS comfortable?
A. Yes, STRUTS have a breathable cushion layer to ensure your feet remain comfortable while they work. Some find they actually improve comfort by making your shoe fit more snugly and better holding your foot in place within your shoe.
Q4. What size shoes do STRUTS fit in?
A. STRUTS are designed to be universal one-size, so that they fit in any size men's dress shoe from 7 to 13.
Q5. Are STRUTS removable?
A. STRUTS are designed to remain in your shoes once you have installed them. The adhesive's hold is strong, but don't worry it can be removed without damaging your shoes. To remove your STRUTS, apply heat to the upper exterior of your shoe with a hairdryer for approximately 60 seconds, be sure to keep the hair dryer at a safe distance to ensure you don't damage your shoes. Once you've applied heat, slowly peel out the STRUTS. If the adhesive still has a strong hold, apply heat for an additional 30-60 seconds
